This trail is recommended for those who are willing and
able to traverse some moderately difficult terrain of 3 km
in length.
Starting from the Danum bridge you will be walking along big
Red Seraya and Dipterocarps trees and progressively up a
slope, passing by the Jacuzzi pool up to a ridge until a big
rock whereby the trail branches into two.
The junction to the right takes you to a rock where old
wooden coffins with human skeletons are piled in rock
crevices and holes found under a ledge.
The trail proceeds along another ridge and down towards the
Fairy waterfall which is a beautiful and cool waterfall.
Further on and up a slope you will reach a bigger waterfall
called the Serpent waterfall so named because of its waters
zig zagging down the rock face. From this waterfall, you
will have to turn back about 200 meters to a junction. Take
the right junction downhill until you reach a stream. Cross
that stream along a slope until you reach another stream,
cross it and follow the trail further downstream.
At a certain point along the stream you might see a man made
structure in the stream which would be the intake point of
the BRL water supply with the water being siphoned by means
of gravity to the reservoir tank 1.5 km away.
The trail continues down the hill towards a series of steps
ending at the Jacuzzi pool which is actually a series of
deep water pools cascading to a final big pool below which
is just perfect to cool off.
To return to the lodge, climb up the steps and turn right
towards the Tolisai bridge and Danum bridge.
