The trail is 2 Km to the east of the Tolisai Bridge that begins at a junction opposite the Tolisai Bridge.
 
It passes through undulating terrain, small streams and dense Dipterocarp trees that eventually leads you through an opening of a small stream.  A trop of Red Monkeys can usually be seen on the high tree branches. The big gap at the stream provides an excellent spot for bird watching. 
 
The East Trail will proceed for another 1 Km from the junction of the left that leads to the Raleigh Bridge.  It will eventually connect you to the trail near Danum River.  Proceed to the left and move upstream towards the Raleigh Bridges to reach the Segama Trails or Tekala / Sapa trail to return to the Lodge.
