Maliau Basin Studies Centre is located 27km (about an hour's drive) from the Security Gate, where Shell Maliau Basin Reception & Information Building is located.  Among the facilities provided by the Study Centre are hostel, resthouse, conference room, laboratory, and nature interpretation facilities for researchers and other visitors.
